This recipe is easy to make and I promise you that the naan taste delicious, even though it’s gluten free 🙂


450gr GF flour (Semper white mix or Semper buckwheat & teff flour works really well)

15 gr of fresh yeast (or half a pack dry yeast)

4 tbsp lukewarm milk

2 tbsp sugar

1/2 tbsp gf baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1,5 dl of milk

1,5 dl of yoghurt

1 egg

3 tbsp of melted butter


Mix yeast, lukewarm milk and sugar. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel. Let it sit for about ten minutes. When you remove the cover it should be bubbly.


Add flour, egg, milk, yoghurt, melted butter, salt and baking powder to a mixer and let it mix for about ten minutes. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel and let it rise for about an hour.


Heat oven to max temperature, 250 celsius. Divide the dough into eight pieces. Place a baking sheet in front of you and place to pieces of dough on the sheet. Fill a bowl with water. Dip your fingers in water and flatten the dough until it’s about 1 cm thick. Glaze with melted butter. Put the baking sheet on a hot tin straight from the warm oven. Bake in oven for 3-5 minutes until. Pay attention to the bread without opening the oven until it’s done.
